St. Augustine, Florida
2002

Our first real Ghost Hunting experience, after all of the things we have experienced over the years. We were finally going to participate in a ghost hunt. We were on a tour with "Ghosts of St. Augustine. A local group of Ghost hunters. We were the only two on the tour that night and things were feeling a little creepy. October 20, 2002. Our first Ghost Hunting Trip. They provided us with a guide to help determine what was real and what was not. He had an EMF detector and long distance thermometer. They let us use EMF detectors. We also had our Sony Handycam with super night vision and digital and 35mm cameras. It was a warm night and about 8:30 we met them at the cafe and he briefed us on what we were going to do. About 9:00 we went outside and headed for the fort. It was pretty dark, except for various lights outside parts of the fort and the lighthouse that came our way once in a while. We were the only guest on the tour this night. The feeling of something different was in the air. He let us walk around without any direction at first. Our EMF detectors were on fire that night, he said that it was not usually that active. I began taking photos and started up the video. He then started telling us the legends of the area of the fort. I then started getting streaks and spirals speeding across the video screen. We ask him if it could have been bugs or something, but none of us saw anything. The EMF detectors remained active. Still more streaking objects. This time the object curved and went between them and then around the other side. Although we wanted to continue the night was short. We moved on to the Spanish bakery, it had already been locked up. Then we went to the two close cemetaries. We picked up nothing and saw no evidence on the video. After we returned to cafe we bought our own EMF detector, planning on going back. Our guide had never had anyone with that kind of video before, I agreed to send some footage. We returned on our own the next night, the EMF dector was active but not as much much as the night before. Then we began getting small streaks like before. After a while we move to the cemetaries and didn't get much, except right before we left, I caught something along the sidewalk behind the fence. We had a great time in St Augustine and plan to return, with more equipment and more time.

More Story to Come.
